The Skagway Recreation Center (SRC) is a community
oriented facility for all ages that offers a wide range of recreational
activities to the people of Skagway. These programs include
Senior Fitness classes, Summer Camp for Kids, yoga,
Pilates, Spinning, rock climbing, weight training, cardio, hockey,
basketball, volleyball, soccer, badminton, table tennis, foosball,
board games, Toddler Time (Mom & Me), Kids Open Gym, movies
and more! Throughout the year, the SRC also sponsors a variety of
educational workshops, fundraisers, and community events, such as
dances, carnivals, garage sales, clothing exchanges, yoga workshops,
health fairs, cycling clinics, exercise certifications, and sporting
leagues.
Our number one purpose is to serve the community by providing a
positive healthy environment for all ages. In fact, the age of
our members ranges anywhere from newborn and infants, participating in
“Mom and Me/Toddler Time” to our eldest member who is
94 years old and takes Senior Fitness classes 2 times a
week. We strive to offer a diversity of programs, so even the
most finicky participant will find something appealing and fun to do at
the center. The Skagway Recreation Center brings people together,
educates our members, and is always open to new ideas and
programs. These are just a few of the things that keep our
members coming back for more!
